Annoté et réalisé vers 1490, ce dessin est fait à la plume, à l’encre et au lavis. L’artiste s’est ici inspiré de sa lecture des théories exposées par Vitruve dans son traité d’architecture. Vitruve était un ingénieur et architecte romain vivant à l’époque de l’empereur Auguste.
